IT skills assessment, is a process that aims to assess the level of knowledge and skills of a company’s human resources in the use of IT and technology tools.

HR Digital Skills

E-Skills inventory is an HR Assessment test by GSO HR Digital, which detects digital skills, aptitude and ability to assimilate digital transformation processes to interface and work in a digital world.

The tool is based on research aimed at identifying personal characteristics (Digital Mindset) and digital skills (Theoretical Knowledge and Applied Skills) that serve as prerequisites for the dissemination and use of digital culture in the work environment.

The test consists of two parts, Digital Mindset and Digital Skills, the latter in turn divided into Theoretical Knowledge and Applied Skills, which generate an integrated report. The results express the person’s digital maturity index with respect to the e-skills inventory model, and thus the propensity for “digital” culture and work.

GSO HR Digital’s digital mindset test measures not only certain personal characteristics that can make a difference in hiring for specific digitally-driven job roles but also the propensity for change required by digital transformation. In fact, the questionnaire investigates 16 dimensions that characterize 5 macro areas of personality.

Assessment of computer and digital skills

On the other hand, the assessment part of the Digital Skills assessment measures the level of basic computer and digital skills. The analysis investigates 12 digital areas, inspired by the European DigComp, that are key to fostering digital culture in companies. Specifically, the report returns the level of possession of this knowledge, each on a decimal rating scale, with a theoretical and an applied evaluation component.

Our job skills assessment tests were built on the competency areas of DigComp, which is the European Union’s framework framework for assessing citizens’ Digital Competencies 4.0. The DigComp defines what IT and digital skills citizens need to possess in order to learn, work and participate in a society increasingly oriented toward the digital transition.
